Common questions
How do I restore a purchase?
Open PsychRecall, go to Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the Apple Account you used to buy it.
How do I cancel a subscription or a free trial?
On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose PsychRecall. On Mac, open the App Store, click your name, then Account Settings, and manage Subscriptions. To avoid being charged, cancel a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends.
Can I use it on iPad and Mac?
Yes. Install it on iPad or Mac with the same Apple Account and use Restore Purchases if needed. Study progress is stored on each device and does not sync between them.
How do I use the Apple Watch app?
PsychRecall includes an Apple Watch app. If it is not on your watch yet, open the Watch app on your iPhone and install it from there. Open PsychRecall on your iPhone to send due cards to the watch. Your ratings are sent back to your iPhone when the two connect.
Why does my progress not appear on my other device?
Progress is stored on the device where you studied and does not sync between iPhone, iPad and Mac. Reviews from Apple Watch are the exception and sync back to your iPhone.
How do I import my own cards?
Create a CSV file with a front column and a back column (optional hint and tags columns are also read), save it as UTF-8, then import it from the deck screen. You can export any deck as CSV the same way.
How do I set up AI card generation?
Open AI card generation in Settings, choose OpenAI or Anthropic, and paste your own API key. Errors such as an invalid key or a rate limit come from the provider; check the key and your provider account.
I am not getting reminders.
Turn on the daily reminder in the app's Settings and choose a time, then make sure notifications are allowed for the app in your device's Settings.
I found a mistake on a card.
